Registered Chiropractic Acupuncturist
Dr. Yamit Nachmias, D.C. earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison as well as her Doctor of Chiropractic with a Sports Emphasis from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota.
Her fascination with the human body and its performance is something that has influenced her life since childhood. Participating in athletics from the time she was three, Dr. Yamit’s passion for Chiropractic took shape following an ankle injury at age 12 which left her unable to walk. She spent the following months rehabilitating her ankle under the care of chiropractors, including the founder of Chiropractic Healing Arts Center, Dr. Thuy Katzenberger. Soon enough, her visits became the highlight of her week and she developed a strong connection with the team of doctors with whom she worked.
In addition to athletics, Dr. Yamit recognized her passion for women’s health early in her chiropractic training. She appreciates the demands of being a modern woman and the uniqueness of every physical body. Dr. Yamit strives to create a holistic and safe environment designed to navigate challenges in menstruation, infertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. Her practice is a fusion of eastern and western traditions, blended to best address her patient’s needs.
Beyond Chiropractic Care, Dr. Yamit has spent further time training with renowned mentors such as Brett Winchester, Richard Ulm, and Dave Juehring to cultivate a functional care approach through Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS, A-C Certified). Dr. Yamit supplementally maintains a Level-One Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) certification and is a Registered Chiropractic Acupuncturist.
When she’s not practicing Chiropractic, Dr. Yamit can be found weightlifting, rollerblading, snowboarding, or playing with her adorable dogs. She loves exploring new restaurants and coffeehouses, so recommendations are always welcome!
